Center of Attention is an original mixed-media abstract painting built around a luminous dimensional orange form that immediately draws the eye. Surrounding it, layers of rust, cobalt blue, ochre, gold and earthy neutrals unfold through gestural marks, textured passages and unexpected fragments of color.

Influenced by the expressive geometry and playful visual language of Mid-Century Modern abstraction, the composition moves between structure and spontaneity. The central form provides an anchor, but the longer the painting is observed, the more the surrounding details begin to assert themselves.

Part of The Noticing Collection, this work explores mindfulness not as stillness, but as attention—the simple act of looking again and discovering what wasn't noticed the first time.
