In Fragments of Order, bold fields of cobalt, orange, green and black create an energetic ground for delicate gold geometric forms. Shapes stack, intersect and repeat like fragments of an unknown language, architectural plans or symbols whose meanings have been partially forgotten.

Small circles move across the composition, interrupting its larger structures and encouraging the eye to travel rather than settle.

With subtle references to Mid-Century Modern abstraction, the painting explores the tension between pattern and randomness, structure and intuition.
